I know the feeling, the cost for our hardwood when we priced it w install was about $2500/3000 more than we ended up paying and doing the install ourselves. I almost threw up when I heard that figure.
Oh no! I've been lusting after that tile since I laid eyes on it! That is pretty expensive, but it's so dang beautiful that I could eat mac and cheese for a month to get it. ;) I second Mr+Mrs B's question. Was that price for the tile and installation? Or just the tile alone? Also curious about the square feet.
Oh my! That is steep. I actually got a very good deal on a kitchen glass tile backsplash from GlassTileWarehouse.com. You might be able to find something more suitable for your budget there.
